Kian Corbally, a 22-year-old Irish midfielder, has signed for Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic from Ballymena United for an undisclosed fee. The club confirmed the signing on Thursday afternoon. A former St Patrick's Athletic academy graduate, Corbally is on a two-year contract which includes an option for another year. Dunfermline faced competition for his signature from clubs in the Scottish Premiership and English Leagues One and Two. It is believed that conversations with Pars manager Neil Lennon were a key factor in his decision to move to East End Park, and an insider reportedly stated that the manager was a huge factor. In their announcement, Dunfermline described Corbally as one of the standout young midfielders in the NIFL Premiership, adding that he has made over 100 senior league appearances.
