Keyan Varela, a 20-year-old Portuguese player with Cape Verdean roots, has joined RKC Waalwijk on a loan deal from Servette FC that includes an option to buy. The forward was on the training pitch with the Keuken Kampioen Divisie club on Tuesday. Varela's contract with Servette expires on June 30, 2028. In the 2025/2026 Super League season, he made 21 appearances and scored 3 goals. He has been capped once for Portugal's U20 team, scoring one goal. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.50m.
