Further competition for the attacker reportedly comes from Boca Juniors and River Plate in Argentina, Atlético-MG and Palmeiras in Brazil, the Greek club Olympiakos, and Portugal's Porto. Rodríguez's contract with Union SG runs until 2027, and the club has an option for an additional year.
