AJ Auxerre turned down the bid and is demanding double that amount for the player, whose contract runs until 2029. It is reported that Danois is not very attracted to the club and is waiting for more interesting proposals. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €20.00m. In the 2025/2026 Ligue 1 season, Danois made 56 appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist, and has been capped twice for the France U21 team. Several other clubs, including Rennes, Newcastle United, LOSC Lille, and Olympique Lyonnais, have also been linked with the player.
