Kayky leaving Manchester City U21?
Kayky has been officially acquired by Esporte Clube Bahia from Manchester City. He has signed a contract that extends until the end of 2029, marking his permanent move to the Salvador-based club. Kayky's time in Europe with Manchester City was not particularly successful, as he managed to play only two first-team matches since joining in 2021 and was loaned to Paços Ferreira and Sparta Rotterdam. This marks his second tenure with Bahia, after returning to the club in February following a previous season in 2023. In total, he has made 48 appearances, scored 6 goals, and provided 9 assists for Bahia, contributing to their state championship victories in 2023 and 2025.
Manchester City is loaning Kayky to EC Bahia until the end of the season. His previous loan to Sparta Rotterdam was terminated at the end of January.
Sparta is expected to part ways with Kayky as Manchester City is looking for a new club for him, due to his limited playing time caused by injuries. Kayky was loaned to Sparta from Manchester City with high expectations, but his time in the Netherlands was marked by injuries. Manchester City seeks a club where Kayky can gain more playing time.
