Kay Seidemann leaving Carl Zeiss Jena?
Kay Seidemann, who was recently released by Carl Zeiss Jena by mutual agreement, has signed a contract with BSG Chemie Leipzig until the end of the season. BILD had previously reported about the impending transfer. Head coach Alexander Schmidt stated that Kay Seidemann is a player who can make a significant difference. Schmidt described him as fast, agile, tricky and able to create danger in the depth of the field, adding that with these abilities he will add vitality to their offense. The coach also said they are happy that they could convince him to join and now want to integrate him into the team quickly. Seidemann said he is very happy about the warm welcome at Chemie and that he loves playing football, winning games and scoring goals. He added that he is looking positively into the future and wants to be successful with the team as soon as possible.
There is interest from other clubs in German winger Kay Seidemann, 25. Seidemann is said to be in talks with FC Eilenburg. Sports director Miroslav Jovic says that there have been no offers or inquiries so far. Chemie Leipzig has also been linked with the player. Seidemann, who joined FC Carl Zeiss Jena in July 2024, has a contract until June 30, 2026. In the 2025/2026 season, he has made 10 appearances in the Regionalliga Northeast, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. His current Transfermarkt market value is €100k.
