Karol Linetty is set to join Śląsk Wrocław. The player has been without a club for a month after terminating his contract with Kocaelispor. The proposed agreement is for a two-year contract with Śląsk Wrocław, which includes an option to extend for another year.

Ante Šimundža, the coach of Śląsk Wrocław, has confirmed that talks are ongoing to sign Karol Linetty, adding that he would be very happy if the 31-year-old central midfielder joined the club. The two parties have almost reached an agreement, and the success of the transfer now depends only on medical and fitness tests. Linetty, a Poland international with 47 caps and 5 goals, has been a free agent since July 2026. He was recently linked with a return to Italy but will remain in Poland. Linetty had been training with his former club Lech Poznań to maintain his fitness; however, their coach, Niels Frederiksen, clarified that this was a gesture for a homegrown player and there were no plans for him to join them as a player. According to Transfermarkt, the player's current market value is estimated to be €1.20m.
