According to a report by Tomasz Wlodarczyk of Meczyki.pl, Pogoń Szczecin made an offer worth two million euros for Polish centre-forward Karol Czubak a few days before the transfer window closed. The proposal for the 26-year-old included a guaranteed sum of 1.6 million euros, with the remaining amount to be paid in bonuses contingent on goals and appearances. Pogoń's owner, Alex Haditaghi, discussed a potential transfer with Motor Lublin's owner, Zbigniew Jakubas. The offer was not approved in Lublin. It is said that Jakubas feels no pressure to sell and does not require an immediate influx of cash. Selling the team's leading scorer this winter is considered to be in conflict with the club's primary objective of remaining in the Ekstraklasa, particularly because Czubak is seen as difficult to replace. Czubak is Pogoń's primary target. If the transfer does not happen, they might pursue Maurides from Radomiak Radom as a less expensive alternative, or they might delay the transfer attempt until the summer. The former Poland U20 international has a contract with Motor Lublin that is valid until June 2027. His market value is currently €900k, according to Transfermarkt.
