Karol Czubak Transfer from Motor Lublin to Arka Gdynia
The potential return of Polish centre-forward Karol Czubak, 26, to Arka Gdynia was discussed in the summer, but a transfer did not happen, partly because of unresolved issues related to his contentious departure from the club in early 2025 to join the Belgian team KV Kortrijk. According to Arka Gdynia's majority shareholder, Marcin Gruchała, the club is in a dispute with both Czubak and his former agent, Marcin Balcer, before the Football Arbitration Court. Gruchała explained that the claims are connected to a buyout clause that the player activated, and that the two parties have differing views on how it should be settled. He stated that while Czubak rejoining the team after six months would have been difficult from a management perspective, it was not impossible. He added that there were questions about the player's contract expectations and that the club likely would not have offered him a top contract because of his recent history, concluding that it was difficult for an agreement to be reached at that time. Czubak currently plays for Motor Lublin, which he joined in July 2025, and his contract expires in June 2027. His market value is listed as €1.50m by Transfermarkt. He has also been linked with Widzew Lodz and Pogoń Szczecin.
