Nottingham Forest is reportedly among several European clubs monitoring Red Bull Salzburg's 22-year-old forward Karim Konaté from Cote d'Ivoire. Other interested parties include Sunderland and additional Premier League teams that have supposedly enquired with his agency, Unique Sports Group. In the Bundesliga, RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt are also said to be interested, while Borussia Dortmund is monitoring the player's situation. Despite this, no official discussions have yet begun between Salzburg and any of the interested clubs, though initial contacts have been made via the player's representatives. Salzburg has reportedly set an asking price of €20 to €25 million for Konaté. His contract runs until June 2028 and he is valued at €12 million by Transfermarkt. The Austrian club would ideally like to keep him until the summer but might agree to a sale if their financial demands are satisfied and a replacement is found, making a potential winter departure possible. The Ivory Coast international has 18 caps and 2 goals for his country.
