Borussia Dortmund wants to extend the contract of national player Karim Adeyemi. BILD reports that it has knowledge of the details regarding the contract duration being offered by the club and a clause that Adeyemi wants to include.

According to 'Sky', both parties are currently making significant progress towards a contract extension. Adeyemi's agent, Jorge Mendes, was reportedly in Dortmund approximately two to three weeks ago to negotiate the new contract with Sebastian Kehl. The pay-TV channel describes these negotiations as very positive. The 23-year-old has also signaled his desire to stay in Dortmund.

Patrick Berger reports in the 'Sky' podcast 'Auffe Süd' that initial talks between BVB and the player's side have begun over a contract with a duration planned to be at least until 2029. According to the report, Jorge Mendes promised Karim Adeyemi a significant salary increase with a promise to double his salary. A salary increase to the levels of Gregor Kobel and Serhou Guirassy is conceivable, but it is mainly a question of budget. BVB aims to secure his signature by next summer to avoid Adeyemi entering his final contract year without an extension.
