Kajetan Szmyt Transfer from Zagłębie Lubin to Jagiellonia Białystok

According to a report from Paweł Gołaszewski of the weekly 'Piłka Nożna', Jagiellonia Białystok is interested in signing 23-year-old Polish player Kajetan Szmyt from Zagłębie Lubin during the winter transfer window. The club is seeking a new winger after the transfer of Oskar Pietuszewski to FC Porto, and a recent attempt to sign Keyan Varela from Servette FC was unsuccessful due to disagreements over contract terms. Jagiellonia has been interested in Szmyt for a long time; he was previously linked with the club following Warta Poznań's relegation from the Ekstraklasa, but he chose Zagłębie's offer. The potential terms of a deal are not currently known. Media outlets have previously reported that his contract, which is valid until June 30, 2027, includes a release clause of approximately 800 thousand euros. In the current 2025/2026 Ekstraklasa season, Szmyt has made 18 appearances, scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists. The Poland U21 international has 21 caps and 3 goals, and his market value on Transfermarkt is €450k.
