Technical director Carlos Aalbers of NEC stated that Kaj Sierhuis is a versatile striker who regularly demonstrated his value at Fortuna last season. Aalbers added that Sierhuis had multiple options as a free agent and that NEC is pleased he chose them. Sierhuis will play for his fifth Dutch club.
