Team Talk reported that Arsenal want to integrate Kaishu Sano into their tactical system to suit their manager’s philosophy. Both clubs are intensively analysing the player’s World Cup data through their scouting departments. Mainz want €50-60m (£43-51m) to sell Sano, as they are protected by his contract, which runs for another two years.

Arsenal are reportedly one of four major clubs, alongside Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool, interested in Mainz midfielder Kaishu Sano. The 25-year-old gained attention for his performances for Japan at the World Cup, where he scored against Brazil. Liverpool are showing strong interest in a potential deal. Sano has two years remaining on his contract, and reports in Germany from March indicated that the Bundesliga club would only consider selling the defensive midfielder for a bid worth between €50-60 million (£43-52m). The midfielder has 16 caps and one goal for Japan and in the 2025/2026 Bundesliga season, he made 34 appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists. His current Transfermarkt market value is €40.00m.
