Omonia Nicosia has reached an agreement with the Turkish club Fatih Karagümrük for the acquisition of 31-year-old Slovenian international left-back Jure Balkovec. The player has signed a contract for one and a half years, which runs until the end of the next season. Balkovec has 39 caps for Slovenia and made 17 appearances in the Süper Lig for his former club this season, providing no goals or assists. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €800k.
