Liverpool had begun to look to the future now that Andy Robertson has turned 30, and among the players they looked at over the summer was 19-year-old Argentine, Julio Soler. However, Manchester United may be catching up to Liverpool in their pursuit of Soler.

Liverpool want left-back Julio Soler and see him as Andy Robertson’s long-term replacement. The Reds have been watching Argentine Soler, 19, at the Olympic Games and made contact with his club Lanus back home. Lanus are looking for around £13million for their youngster, who could be a huge and very shrewd investment.
