Watford FC are reportedly considering a loan for Bournemouth's defender, Julio Soler. Fabrizio Romano claimed that the young full-back is a high priority on the club's list of targets. Watford may not have to cover the full amount of his estimated weekly wage of £20,000.

Watford, who play in the Championship, are making efforts to sign Bournemouth's 20-year-old Argentinian left-back Julio Soler. The defender was also a target for Ajax. Matteo Moretto reported that the Dutch club had been in advanced negotiations for a loan. The transfer journalist also stated that Bournemouth is only prepared to loan out Soler, who currently has a supporting role at his club, to a team within England, which has stopped the potential move to Ajax. Soler, who has been capped 18 times for Argentina U20, joined Bournemouth in January 2025 for a reported €8 million and has a contract until June 2029. He has made three Premier League appearances this season, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €8.00m.
