Talks between RCD Mallorca and Julian Brandt have ended without an agreement. The 30-year-old German attacking midfielder is leaving Borussia Dortmund, which he joined in July 2019, at the end of June as a free agent. A report indicates that Spain is the former Germany international's preferred destination, and he had loose links to Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona in recent weeks, though no concrete developments occurred. For Germany, he has earned 48 caps and scored 3 goals. Galatasaray has now made contact and is reportedly very interested in the midfielder, whose current Transfermarkt market value is €20.00m. There have also been inquiries from Major League Soccer and a potential move to Japan has been discussed, but Brandt wishes to join a club that is in the Champions League.
