According to César Luis Merlo, Atlas has announced the arrival of Juan José Purata. The defender has joined from Tigres on a one-year loan that includes a purchase option.

According to Récord, Tigres central defender Juan José Sánchez Purata will become a new player for Atlas. Negotiations between the two clubs progressed, and an agreement was reached for the Mexican defender to join on a one-year loan with a purchase option. While there is no official announcement from the clubs yet, Juan José Sánchez Purata was not called up for Tigres' most recent match. After multiple conversations, he is set to travel to Guadalajara to complete his move to Atlas.

According to César Luis Merlo, negotiations between Atlas and Tigres for the transfer of 28-year-old Mexican centre-back Juan José Purata are advanced. The defender joined Tigres in July 2018, has one cap for Mexico, and his contract runs until 2029. His current market value is €3.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
