On Monday, February 9th, Atlético Nacional announced the transfer of one of its young prospects, 22-year-old Colombian central defender Juan José Arias, to Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer. The player will join the U.S. club on a six-month loan that expires on July 13. The deal includes an option for Real Salt Lake to make the transfer permanent. The MLS club also announced the signing and stated that Arias's consistent development and maturity at Nacional make him an ideal player for their U-22 squad. Real Salt Lake expressed excitement about watching him compete at the highest level and believes he can become a key long-term player for the club. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.20m.
