Olympiacos has announced the acquisition of Jota Silva on loan from Nottingham. The 26-year-old attacking midfielder officially became the club's new signing for the new season on Thursday (9/7).

According to Sport FM, Jota Silva has joined Olympiacos on loan for the 2026/27 season, with an option for Olympiacos to make the deal permanent at the end of the campaign. The move was confirmed by Nottingham Forest in an official announcement.

Jota Silva, a winger, is set to transfer to Olympiacos. He played for Besiktas last season on loan from Nottingham Forest. Jota Silva was acquired by Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2022 for 700 thousand euros. After playing for Vitoria Guimaraes, he was sold to Nottingham Forest for 7 million euros.

It is reported that Olympiacos is taking steps to complete the transfer of Jota Silva. The 26-year-old Portuguese attacking midfielder belongs to Nottingham Forest and spent the past season on loan at Besiktas, where he scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist in 18 Süper Lig appearances. Olympiacos had previously been interested in the player in past summers, but the conditions for an agreement are now considered more favorable. Antonio Miguel Cardoso is very familiar with the player, as they worked together during a successful period for the player at Guimaraes. Silva's contract with Forest expires in June 2028, and the two-time Portugal international has a current Transfermarkt market value of €10.00m. Sporting CP has also been linked with the player.
