The Daily Record reports that Josh Gentles scored his first goal for Airdrieonians last weekend in the draw with East Kilbride. He has started the last two games for Airdrieonians after impressing for the Rangers B team.

Josh Gentles is on a season-long co-operative loan at Airdrieonians, which allows him to play for both Airdrieonians’ senior side and Rangers’ youth teams. On Rangers’ official site, Gentles stated that he has really enjoyed it. He added that he is still trying to get into what he described as a settled team, as he went in a bit later.

Josh Gentles, an 18-year-old Rangers striker, has moved to Airdrieonians on a straight loan for the 2026/27 season. The forward is seeking regular playing time after a campaign last year that was injury-disrupted and included co-operation loan spells with Raith Rovers and Alloa. Gentles had impressed Russell Martin and featured for the first team during last summer's pre-season. At Airdrieonians, he will join Rangers teammate Callum Burnside, a Northern Irish winger who is also on loan. A Welsh U19 international, Gentles joined Rangers in July 2024 and is under contract until June 2027.
