Josh Gentles, an 18-year-old Rangers striker, has moved to Airdrieonians on a straight loan for the 2026/27 season. The forward is seeking regular playing time after a campaign last year that was injury-disrupted and included co-operation loan spells with Raith Rovers and Alloa. Gentles had impressed Russell Martin and featured for the first team during last summer's pre-season. At Airdrieonians, he will join Rangers teammate Callum Burnside, a Northern Irish winger who is also on loan. A Welsh U19 international, Gentles joined Rangers in July 2024 and is under contract until June 2027.
