West Ham's Scottish striker Josh Landers is the subject of new loan interest from Southend United of the National League. League Two side Cheltenham Town and Scottish Championship team Ayr United are also interested in the 19-year-old. This interest comes in addition to previous links with Scottish clubs St. Mirren and Livingston. Landers has prior experience in the National League, having spent the latter part of the previous season on loan at Boreham Wood, and West Ham's decision on his next move will be based on where he can get the most playing time to continue his development. Landers, who joined the club in January 2025, scored 7 goals in 20 appearances for the U21s in the Premier League 2 last season. Landers has also been capped by Scotland at U19 level, scoring twice in 7 appearances, and his contract with West Ham runs until June 2028.
