Joseph Kalulu, a 21-year-old right-back with French and DR Congo citizenship, has signed a four-season contract with Angers, joining from Pau in Ligue 2 where he spent two years. Angers paid approximately 2 million euros for the transfer. A statement from Angers indicated that by joining the club, Kalulu will strengthen their defensive sector.
