Lazio's Pedro revealed that he attempted to bring his former teammate, Jordi Alba, to the club when the defender was a free agent. Pedro explained that Alba was one of several players he tried to convince to join, also mentioning attempts to recruit De Gea when he was without a contract, as well as David Luiz. He added that he had also spoken with manager Sarri about Marc Bartra. Alba, a 37-year-old Spanish defender with 93 caps and 9 goals for Spain, has since retired from professional football.
