Scottish defender Jordan McGregor, 29, has moved to Edinburgh City after not agreeing to a new contract at East Kilbride, a transfer that involves a move to a lower league. It is understood the League Two side offered up to double his previous earnings. East Kilbride boss Mick Kennedy told Lanarkshire Live Sport that McGregor had received a significantly better deal from another club. Kennedy added that while the club attempted to keep the defender, they could not get close to the terms being offered. McGregor joined the club in July 2024 and was a key player in their title-winning season. During the 2025/2026 season, McGregor made 20 appearances in Scottish League Two.
