Colombian goalkeeper Jordan García, 21, is to leave León to join Atlante on loan after a potential transfer to Universidad de Chile did not happen, despite advanced negotiations. According to César Luis Merlo, León and Atlante agreed to a one-year loan that includes an option to buy. The move is for García to seek more playing time in the Apertura 2026 of Liga MX because he had limited opportunities at León. Atlante needed a new goalkeeper following an injury to David Ospina. León will retain García's rights to monitor his development. García has 19 caps for the Colombia U20 team. He joined León in January 2026 from Fortaleza CEIF for a reported fee of €700,000, and his contract with the club is valid until December 2029. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.5 million.
