Hartlepool United have signed former Middlesbrough striker Jordan Hugill after his contract at Rotherham United ended. The 34-year-old striker has agreed a one-year contract at Victoria Park, and Pools have an option to extend the agreement by a further 12 months. Hugill is Lee Clark's first signing as Hartlepool head coach.

Hugill is a free agent following his departure from Rotherham, and his arrival is regarded as a significant signing for Hartlepool. In the 2025/2026 season, the centre-forward made 28 appearances in League One, scoring two goals and providing one assist. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €125k.
