Bild has reported on the ongoing discussions about extending the contract of Hallesche FC's captain, Jonas Nietfeld. After six years and 198 official matches with the club, Nietfeld is in talks for a contract extension. The club's sporting director, Daniel Meyer, mentioned that both the coach and Nietfeld are in agreement about a new role for him as a midfielder instead of a striker. However, he noted that budget constraints are causing delays in finalizing the contract extension. Meyer also pointed out that there are daily communications with Nietfeld, with the aim of resolving the situation within the week so that Nietfeld can return to training.
