FC Basel is considering Jonas Krumrey of Holstein Kiel as the club seeks a successor for Marwin Hitz. Hitz is scheduled to depart for the 2026/27 season. The 22-year-old German, a former Red Bull Salzburg goalkeeper, is one of several candidates being evaluated by the Swiss champions. The list of candidates also includes another ex-Salzburg keeper, Philipp Köhn of AS Monaco, and Inter's Yann Sommer. Krumrey joined Holstein Kiel in July 2025 and his contract runs until June 2027. In the current 2. Bundesliga season, he has made 19 appearances, and his market value is €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt.
