Johan Rojas Transfer from Monterrey to Atlético Nacional

Globo.com reported that other Colombian teams, such as Atlético Nacional, are pursuing Johan Rojas.

Futbolred reports on the failed transfer of Johan Rojas to Atlético Nacional. The club had been interested in Rojas as a reinforcement for the upcoming season, and Atlético Nacional had desired him in recent transfer windows. It appeared Johan Rojas could move to the club after finishing his loan with Necaxa. However, the transfer is now considered to have failed because Rojas made clear that his future will not be in Colombian football.

According to journalist Julián Capera, Monterrey rejected the first offer from Atlético Nacional for Johan Rojas. The proposal from Atlético Nacional was for a loan. Monterrey is unwilling to loan the Colombian and will only consider offers for a permanent sale. It is expected that Atlético Nacional will make a second offer to acquire Rojas.

Atlético Nacional have a long-standing interest in Johan Rojas and are attempting to sign the player permanently. Talks to secure the signing are at an advanced stage, according to Juan Pablo Erazo of 'Atlético Nacional VAVEL'. Rojas recently completed his loan spell with Necaxa and belongs to Monterrey, but he is reportedly not in the Mexican club's plans. Monterrey, with whom the player has a contract until June 2028, is listening to offers and has received approaches from Nacional. There is also interest from other Mexican clubs and from Europe, but Rojas's desire to play for Nacional could influence negotiations.
