After three years at the club, Johan Meyer is no longer at Lyngby Boldklub. The Betinia Liga team has sold the 22-year-old Danish defender to IK Start. Meyer's contract in Norway is three years long. Lyngby's sports director, Nicas Kjeldsen, said there had been a good dialogue with Johan Meyer about his role and playing time, and that they jointly had an ambition for him to play at Lyngby. Kjeldsen also said Meyer had a mature understanding of not being the first choice. According to Kjeldsen, a good opportunity arose which Johan Meyer wanted to pursue. He stated that with the decisions made in the sports management, it was the right time for Meyer to try himself in the top Norwegian league. The Denmark U19 international made 8 appearances in the 1.Division this season, providing one assist. His market value is currently estimated by Transfermarkt at €350k.
