STVV have confirmed the arrival of Joedrick Pupe via official club channels. Pupe previously played for FCV Dender and then transferred to Vancouver Whitecaps. After a few months at Vancouver Whitecaps, he wanted to leave, and STVV is enabling his departure. CEO Takayuki Tateishi stated that in this crucial phase of the season, the club had to strengthen their defense after the departure of Rein. Tateishi added that they are convinced Joedrick will quickly assume his role in the dressing room and make a significant contribution to the team.

Het Nieuwsblad reports that STVV is leading in the effort to sign Joedrick Pupe. The negotiations are reportedly advanced.

Belgian centre-back Joedrick Pupe, 28 years old, was set to return to KV Kortrijk from Vancouver Whitecaps. Pupe is a youth product of Kortrijk but did not establish himself in the first team. In the summer, Pupe transferred from KV Kortrijk to Vancouver Whitecaps, where he barely played. A loan with a purchase option was being arranged, but Joedrick Pupe withdrew from the transfer at the final stage. His contract with the Canadian club runs until December 31, 2027.
