Globo.com reports that Lavega was loaned to Coritiba after having difficulty establishing himself at Fluminense. The loan includes a purchase clause that could help Fluminense recover part of the money invested.

Uruguayan winger Joaquín Lavega, 20, will wear the number 7 shirt at Coritiba, where he is on loan from Fluminense for the 2026 season. His contract with parent club Fluminense is valid until the end of 2029. Lavega has not yet played for Uruguay's U23 team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.50m.
