João Tavares leaving Radomiak Radom?
João Tavares has been transferred from Radomiak Radom to Ipatinga FC, a club playing in the second league of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. He has already debuted for his new team, starting in a match against Democrata de Sete Lagoas, which ended in a 0-2 loss. Previously, he was loaned to Stal Stalowa Wola from September to December 2024, where he played ten matches and scored two goals. After returning to Radomiak Radom, he did not make any appearances in the Ekstraklasa squad.
Radomiak Radom is in the process of negotiating the termination of their contract with João Tavares. The player had initially been transferred from Estoril Praia in Portugal at the close of the summer transfer window and was subsequently loaned to Stal Stalowa Wola. However, Stal Stalowa Wola ended his loan prematurely in early December. With Radomiak's winter reinforcements, the club had intended to loan him out again, but Tavares expressed that he was not interested in another temporary move. This has led to discussions about terminating his contract, which remains valid until the end of June this year. Meanwhile, Kotwica Kołobrzeg and Pogoń Siedlce have expressed interest in acquiring him.
