Santos has agreed to sell 20-year-old Brazilian right-back JP Chermont to Sharjah, a club in the United Arab Emirates where the transfer window is still open. The transfer is valued at US$3.5 million, according to sources, and comprises a US$2.5 million fixed fee and US$1 million in performance-related bonuses. Santos reportedly plans to use the fixed portion of the fee to settle two months of overdue image rights payments with its squad. The club also retained the right to 20% of any future transfer fee for the player. Chermont was on loan at Coritiba, which is set to receive 10% of the sale price as a showcase fee. The defender has been capped twice for Brazil's U20 team and made 17 appearances in the 2025/2026 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, providing two assists. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €4.00m.
