João Gonçalves, a 25-year-old Portuguese goalkeeper, will sign a two-season contract with Nacional on a free transfer. Last season, Gonçalves represented Aves Sad until the end of January, playing eight games. He subsequently moved to Universitatea Craiova in April but did not get any minutes in Romania. The goalkeeper, who has also played for Boavista as a senior, will form the Madeiran club's trio of goalkeepers alongside Renato Marin, who is on loan from PSG, and Kevyn, who is continuing from the previous season. According to Transfermarkt, the Portugal U21 international has a market value of €500k.
