João Gomes Transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Crystal Palace
A report from the Daily Mail claims Crystal Palace may seek to sign a central midfielder, as Kamada is likely to be absent for 10 weeks with a hamstring injury sustained against Man City last month. The report states that Wolves’ Joao Gomes and Kevin Danois of Auxerre are two names that have been mentioned.
João Gomes, a 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder for Wolverhampton, is one of several players Crystal Palace has targeted for the January transfer window. Other players targeted by the club include Bayern Munich right-back Sacha Boey and Auxerre midfielder Kevin Danois. Gomes, who joined Wolves in January 2023, has made 19 Premier League appearances this season and has earned 10 caps for Brazil. His contract with the club runs until June 2030, and Transfermarkt lists his current market value as €40.00m. Manchester United have also been linked with the midfielder.
