Atlético Nacional is pursuing 29-year-old Colombian midfielder Jesús Rivas at the request of new coach Lucas González, who previously managed the player at Águilas Doradas. The club faces competition for the midfielder from Millonarios, Independiente Medellín, and Deportes Tolima. Millonarios had started discussions with the player's entourage, but the situation changed with González's appointment at Nacional. According to journalist Felipe Sierra, Nacional's initial offer is for a one-year loan with a purchase option. Jesús Rivas is under contract at Junior until June 2028, and it is considered unlikely that the Barranquilla club will accept a proposal that does not involve a definitive sale.
