According to BILD information, Energie Cottbus have identified Eintracht Frankfurt's German-Cameroonian centre-forward Jessic Ngankam as one of two former Bundesliga players they are targeting for their attack. The club has reportedly gathered information on the 26-year-old and has likely already made contact. Ngankam was recently on loan at Austrian top-flight club Wolfsberger AC and was also demoted to the U21s at Frankfurt. A deal is complicated by the fact he is currently injured with a torn muscle fiber, which means he would not be able to play immediately and could potentially become a key player from mid-October. The former Germany U21 international, who joined Frankfurt in July 2023, has a contract that runs until 2028 and a current Transfermarkt market value of €700k. Hertha BSC have also recently been linked with the player.
