Borussia Dortmund announced through their official channels that thirty-year-old defender Jesper Verlaat will join their Under 23 team from 1860 München next season on a three-year contract. Ingo Preuß, the technical director of the Under 23 team, said that with Jesper, they get an experienced player for the center of defense and that he will be of great value to their young players, both on and off the field.

Jesper Verlaat, a 29-year-old Dutch Centre-Back, will leave 1860 München in the summer as his contract is expiring and will not be renewed. He is one of six players departing the club at the end of their contracts. Verlaat joined the club in July 2022 and has a current market value of €350k, according to Transfermarkt.
