Jenson Seelt leaving Sunderland?
The Italian club Verona, which competes in Serie A, has approached Sunderland for a loan deal for the 22-year-old Dutch central defender Jenson Seelt for one year. Sunderland initially did not plan to have Seelt as a starter, but due to an injury to another central defender, Daniel Ballard, Sunderland is considering blocking the transfer. Seelt desires playing time, preferably in the Premier League, but is open to spending a year in Serie A. His contract with the English club runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.00m.
