After Fluminense made an inquiry for the 29-year-old Venezuelan attacking midfielder Jefferson Savarino, Botafogo proposed a deal. The proposal involved receiving the young defensive midfielder Wallace Davi, whom their board monitors and considers to have potential. In the preliminary talks, Botafogo also requested financial compensation to release Savarino. Botafogo suggested this framework, although there are currently no open negotiations.
