After about a month without a club, Jean-Paul Boëtius has joined a new club, with the attacking midfielder moving to Dutch second division club RKC Waalwijk. The 31-year-old has signed a contract there until the end of the season. The Suriname international's move to the Netherlands follows an agreement with SV Darmstadt 98 to terminate his contract at the beginning of February. He had previously returned to professional football with the 'Lilien' in January 2025, following a one-and-a-half-year period without a club due to his cancer illness.
