Plymouth Argyle are reportedly among the clubs interested in Exeter City's English striker Jayden Wareham, who scored 22 goals in all competitions last season. Championship side Bristol City have also been linked with a move for the 23-year-old. Exeter manager Matt Taylor confirmed that no bids have been received for Wareham and there has been no communication from other teams. Taylor admitted he was somewhat surprised the striker was still at the club, stating that while they know the player's value, other clubs have not yet committed to it. He said he was uncertain if Wareham would still be an Exeter player before the Carabao Cup tie against Plymouth Argyle next Monday, but reiterated that no offers have been made. The manager also expressed that he did not understand why more clubs, especially at the Championship level, have not shown more interest in the player. Wareham joined Exeter City in July 2025 and his contract is set to expire in June 2027. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €400k.
