Bild reports that the transfer of 26-year-old German-Albanian winger Jason Ceka to Fortuna Düsseldorf failed. Fortuna Düsseldorf and manager Samir Arabi spent weeks attempting to sign Ceka from SV Elversberg, but the negotiations did not succeed. The transfer was reportedly prevented by Christian Weber, an ex-sporting director, due to what was described as an 'XXL demand'. Ceka joined SV Elversberg in July 2025 and has a contract until June 2028. In August 2026, SV Elversberg had reportedly set an asking price of €400,000 for the player. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €800,000. SC Cambuur and Dynamo Dresden have also recently been linked with him.
