Algerian international Jaouen Hadjam, a 23-year-old left-back, is reportedly once again close to leaving BSC Young Boys. Serie A club Genoa is said to be interested in signing him, while Hull City and Como have also been linked with the player. YB-Boss Christoph Spycher commented that Hadjam has a market available to take the next step in his career. For now, Hadjam remains in Bern, but he is expected to miss the season opener against Sion because of a training deficit following his World Cup participation with Algeria. Hadjam, who has 21 caps for his country, joined the Swiss club in January 2024 and is under contract until 2028. His current valuation on Transfermarkt is €7.00m, and Young Boys reportedly paid a €1.3 million fee to sign him from FC Nantes.
