Karlsruher SC has shown interest in Janne Sietan, a 23-year-old German defensive midfielder from SV Waldhof Mannheim, as the club seeks to address problems in its central defensive midfield. Sietan is a key player for the third-division side, can also operate in central defence, and has a contract that expires at the end of this season. Waldhof would like to extend his deal, but the player is hesitating, which would make him available on a free transfer. KSC sporting director Timon Pauls confirmed that Sietan was on their list and that they had spoken intensively with his agent.
