Media reported that Jan Kuchta had many financially better offers from Turkey and that the player's decision was influenced by not wanting to move far from his home country. Mateusz Borek expressed skepticism about these reports. He stated that if they wanted him in Qatar, Turkey, or Italy, he would have signed there, as they can pay him much more.

Clubs from Turkey are interested in Jan Kuchta, a 29-year-old Czech Republic centre-forward. Jan Kuchta is seeking a new club and is training with Sparta Prague's reserves after coach Brian Priske decided not to rely on him. The forward joined Sparta Prague in July 2025 and has 31 caps and 3 goals for Czechia. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.70m. Reports in April 2026 indicated Sparta Prague's initial asking price was €2.5 million, and a later report suggested the club would accept €1.3 million.
