Eighteen-year-old defender Jan Jurgec has signed for Olimpija's youth team after prematurely ending his time at Roma, one year before his contract was set to expire. The move marks a return to Slovenia for the defender, who has also been a member of national team selections. Jurgec, a former player and supporter of Maribor, represented the club until the U17 level, where he made 32 appearances in the cadet league before moving to Roma in 2023.
